COUNCILLORSHIP ASPIRANT SHOT DEAD IN CALABAR

A councillorship aspirant for Nde ward of Ikom Local government Area of Cross River State has been shot dead, last weekend in calabar.

The young dreamed leader, Ransome Egbaka is alleged to have been shot by a rival cult group on Friday while on his way to chill out in the Christmas village.

"It is speculated that, Ransome had managed to put a Call to his relative who awaited him in the Christmas village, informing him that he has been shot before giving up the ghost".

However, his death is also alleged to be in connection with his aspired position as the struggle for party ticket intensified but investigation by the efficient state police is on going.

Ransome was a graduate of Educational Administration & Planning from the Cross River University of Technology(CRUTECH) ,Where he expressed his leadership qualities as a Class Representative till his graduation in 2014.

His death has been described by former course mates and friends as "untimely & painful".

At least two persons related with Crutech were shot dead in the weekend in the tussle for "water-leaf supremacy".
