CALABAR MAN ENDS MARRIAGE WITH WIFE BECAUSE OF INCESSANT PRAYERS

A resident of Calabar has hit a "marriage pause button" with his wife because of incessant prayers by the woman.

The man identified just with the name Akpan hales from Akpabuyo Local Government area of Cross River State but reside in Atimbo axis of calabar.

It was gathered that Akpan who has been married to his wife for 13 years with 5 children often complained of nuisance from the wife manner of prayers.

A neighbor disclosed that Akpan is a Semi-Skill worker and has been living peacefully with his family until recently when he often lament no peace at night that is suppose to be resting hours. It became publicly known when trouble broke out last weekend.

The wife refused to heed to the husband's appeal to end her night prayers and rather accused the husband of being "ete efot" (wizard). The accusation is said to have angered the man who packed out of the house leaving his prayer warrior's wife and children.

Family members of Akpan intervened but it took them a while to convinced him to go back to his family. Akpan however accepted on the condition that his wife would end her incessantly night prayers said on top her voice and reduced her church programs that often result to keeping him hungry in the stomach and bed wise.

The wife is said to have rejected the conditions as she would never stop praying to her God. The both are still currently apart.

Concerned persons have pleaded for calm and understanding when dealing with God else it would result to serious misunderstanding. They advise the need for couple to have marital adjustment as the key to accommodate individual differences.

It is known that most Christians way of communicating with God must be in loud mode hence distracting the peace of others and once any try to question, such person is labelled a Satan incarnate.
