16 YEARS OLD FEMALE STUDENT IMPREGNATED BY VICE PRINCIPAL GIVES BIRTH

A 16 years old female student of Government Secondary School in Tunga,Chanchaga local government area of Niger State that was Impregnated by the Vice Principal has delivered a male child.

The female student known as Faith Galadima was in Senior Secondary Class 1 when she conceived for the Vice Principal Mr. M. Mohammed.

The case which came public in February after reports by the parents of Faith alleging Vice Principal is responsible for their daughter's pregnancy was shocking to fellow staffs, students of the secondary school and the general public.

Mr Mohammad had denied claims of being responsible for the pregnancy, saying he only knows the girl as just his student and nothing more.

Some students of the school alleged the vice principal was responsible for the pregnancy because he was often fond of the 16years old Fatima Galadima.

Mr Mohammed Mohammed was arrested and remanded in prison by the court for over two months but was granted bail with the sum of a million naira. He is still standing trial in court for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and impregnating a student.

Faith had dropped out of school since then because of stigmatization and her unplanned motherhood state condition.

She put to birth in a midwifery home on Monday the 6th of November amidst her rejected condition.

Her mother lamented about the burden put upon her family and daughter by the teacher trusted to impart knowledge on her child. She plead with the Vice Principal to come and shoulder responsibilities of his child.

The case was reported to Niger State Ministry of Education but no frantic step has been taken yet. Mr. Mohammed is still on his duty as the Vice Principal.

Teacher-Student romantically involvement is alleged to be peculiar in Nigeria Universities with benefit of sexual satisfaction and good grades in exams respectively. Such practice has spread to lower level of Education where students are mostly just teenagers.

It is analyzed that such relationship often result to pregnancy when there is more than one sexual intercourse.

Parents and guidance have pleaded with teachers to maintain integrity and dignity always.
