REVEALED: QUESTIONS KADUNA STATE TEACHERS COULDN'T ANSWER
The test questions primary school teachers in Kaduna state could not answered has gone viral on social media months after it was conducted.
The competent test was set by Governor Nasuri El-Rufai led Kaduna state government as measures of checking the knowledge of teachers.
About 22,000 teachers failed the test in September and El-Rufai had threaten to sack the teachers and replaced with 25,000 new ones.
The Kaduna branch of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) had threaten strike action if the teachers are sacked. They described the test as "unrecognized and lacking integrity".
Reports from Kaduna state has it the government has commenced employment of over 25,000 teachers as replacement for the teachers that failed the competent test.
The affected teachers led by the NUT chairman have began peaceful protest in the state as steps to oppose the state government action.
Salary of the affected teachers is said to have been stopped.
Some Indigenes of Kaduna State backed the State Government decision as unqualified teachers are "mental poison" to learners while others fear the decision would contribute to unemployment and increase family pressure.
Kaduna State government dismissed alleged reports the action was politically influence. The sack teachers had alleged it was "political manipulation".
