MY BEARDS AND SALLAH BENEFIT

Keeping of beards is perculiar to Muslims and some Christians who keeps beards are often seen by the society as Muslim. Several times i have been asked the benefits of keeping beards but i always take such question as rhetorical. Today am happy to say it is on days like this that i so appreciate my desire to keep beards and pray no weapon of barbing it shall prosper. I passed a group of Muslims today celebrating Sallah(muslim feast)the food aroma made me missed my steps and kept my nose up with my beards like a dog. If you call me a dog,i will castrate you.

Fortunately they started hailing me, Aboki! Aboki !!. I looked back to see if they were refering to someone else behind me. One of them said its you," come join us,your beards tells you're one of us."  Mehn it was a wish becoming a horse. I walked innocently closer, a sight at the assorted meals sentenced me to swallowing spit. i didn't even know when i started speaking hausa, i said salaam Alaiku , they spontaneously replied Alaiku Salaam. The only woman among them spoke in Hausa to me ,I replied in Obudu Language,she said pardon ,I responded pardon yowa. Phone call took her attention from me.

They serve me garri and melon soup,i started eating thesame woman said learn to pray before eating,what type of Muslim are you?. I kept quiet,of course it was a rhetorical question. I so ate and demanded for extra plate. They brought minerals for me ,I drank it slowly. 

The most eldest and richer man seated there(you know from his appearance and the loyalty others were paying to him) asked what's my name, i said Zedicus Piro , he said ow ow you are the Facebook kid that always never lack words, anyway i love the way you eat, it's shows even appetite is not your problem." I just said thank you sir but its been a period of fasting and now is the period to eat.

The only woman there came to me again, am sure you are not one of us, am very sure. I kept quiet, she asked again, i said oh was that a question.... , one of them cautioned her to let my food digest. I said thank you in my mind.

Unfortunately for me, one man walked in to join us,he fell in love with my beards "Kai aboki i like ham for your beards,how many years have you been keeping it?" I said two years Oga,what about yours? He said "five years but the beards is suffering from dwarfism,its not growing at all.anyways this a flask of drinks ,make your choice." I took yoghurt,it was so chill and very sweet like God prepared it. I didn't even know when i said Thank You Jesus.... ,brethren na so i take spoil the show. 

They all stood up, i said gentle men calm down for overwhelming peace. They asked "what name did you just call?, i said boldly Jesus Christ, they spontaneously replied you are lucky you did not deny your Savior. sit and let's dine for we are all one.

The notion of Religion differences that lead us to conflict is first class ignorance that has resulted to many disclaiming their faith, pretending to belong to where looks safe for the moment. The God we serve doesn't know religion, he only knows those who are just. Religion is just a channel or a pathway shaping us to justness. If you fail to understand this Religion will be a path to your doom. Today am of the gospel that we should put aside our religions and see ourselves as the children of just One God who has the capacity to provide for all. Today am of the Gospel of UNITY!!!! We can so dine together if there's unity. The ability to accommodate each other little or mighty differences is call Unity. Let there be Religious Unity. 

My ability to understand that Religion is not differentiation earned me Unity as a Christian among Muslims. It can be achieved, clergies and imam should keep the gospel of oneness alive. We are all from one God and our unity is not negotiable.
