GERMANY DEFEATED CHILE IN CONFEDERATION CUP FINAL

Germany has defeated Chile to emerged as the 2017 confederation cup winners for the first time in the history of the country.  

The world cup champions dominated the game and missed alot of chances before Lars Stindl found the net at 20minutes of play.
  Chile have not defeated Germany in 49years.
This victory means Germany have qualified automatically for the 2018 world cup in Russia.

  
 The third place game between Portugal and Mexico ended 2:1 in Favour of Portugal after 120minutes of play. Mexico took the lead from Portuguese Neto own goal at 55minutes before Pepe level up at 90minutes. Portugal won the game with Andre Silva converted penalty at extra time.

 The confederation cup began in 1992 and has Brazil as the winners with 4trophies.
