ROAD SAFETY VEHICLE CATCHES FIRE

Vehicle belonging to Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) was spotted burning yesterday along the highway in River State.

Eye witness said FRSC officers were seen running out of the vehicle for safety.

Questions have been raised why a road safety force that detained and charged road users without fire extinguisher and among other road worthiness necessities won't have fire extinguisher in their vehicle.

A driver who said his name is "fireman"
Spoke disappointedly that "where else can you find this if not Nigeria,they enforce us to do the right things but they don't".
Another female driver said "what i pass through in the road with this people is untold,they always have a way of nailing one down,its unfortunate and disgraceful that they don't even have a fire extinguisher, I should have borrowed them my own but they will move ahead immediately, form a checkpoint and detained me".

Another man who spoke said "it is an accident,it happens to road users but only careless road users. We are advise by FRSC to always check our vehicles before entering the road maybe they forgot doing same today or maybe its because its a government vehicle. Its a bit shameful but we have seen worse in this country".

According to the rumor,drivers passing by ridiculed and make jest of the Road Safety Officials that struggled to quench the fire with Sand.
