MY DAD BROKE THE FAMILY POLICY

"Listen carefully my dearest beloved children don't you ever borrow,be contented ,he who goes borrowing,goes sorrowing. Let this be the key,repeat after me". And we will uniformly say don't borrow is the key. Those were the daily words of our dad to us while growing up. He so repeated this that even when he is not around we will gather in the parlour in the morning and say don't borrow is the key.

This became part of us till date but to my greatest surprise,I went home last week, a man came shouting very early in the morning "pay my money,I need the money i borrowed you,i was surprised, my dad was begging "please gimme till next two days , I will surely pay you". The man reluctantly left after a long disagreeing while.

I walked to my dad and repeated the daily chorus "don't borrow is the key", he kept quiet and left the house. Two days later the man came as usual during the creditor hour i:e very early in the morning and started shouting. I ran to my dad room, "daddy daddy that man is here again, what happen to the family policy of don't borrow is the key,i thought it was well padlocked in our hearts". My dad said "Zed my son, am so sorry,its not my fault, the present Economically distress cum reality brought a universal spare key, but please go tell the man am not around".

I stepped out with my beards and a deep voice, "good morning sir, the man you're looking for is not around". I didn't know i was talking to an angry trained karate guru, before i will say "Ayade My Love" i was on the ground, the man bashed into my dad room, his countenance was enough to tell a man of wisdom all is not well.

I staggered from where i fell at the entrance to my dad room, my dad was on the ground thrice within one minute and started shouting Buha Buha Sabatani , i said daddy are you really okay, he repeated again "Buha Buha Sabatani" (meaning Buhari Why have forsaken me). I quickly ran to the kitchen and brought water for him. Drink Drink Watertani, My Dad responded God Punish You Punishtani . The karate man shouted My Money Money GiveMeTani. Hahhahahahahha and now you're laughing laughing Laughtani.
