STUDENTS OF COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AKAMKPA PROTEST OVER "STAY AT HOME"
Students of College of Education Akamkpa have protested peacefully over the stay at home for months describing it as a delay in destiny.
Students have been compel to stay at home for about four months now following the use of the school premise as orientation camp for youth Corps Members posted to the state after reported cases of Lassa Fever in Obubra Local Government Council it permanent venue that led to the death of five persons.
The students have called on the state government to provide another venue for the Corps Members to end their stay at home. One Master Bojo who spoke to me said "Enough of this compulsive stay at home,the state government have to relocate youth corp members so we could study and get to their level. We are tired of staying at home".
Another Student added that "Does it mean we have to be at home like this once its NYSC orientation time? This is the only and indigenous state own college of learning,we should be treated with respect,enough of this hitch in academic calendar."
Stream Two of Batch B National Youth Service Corps just passed out of camp and the students have dime it necessary to air out their thoughts for a quick and interrupted recall.
