A REFLECTION ON ATTENTION AND INTEREST

I came across a post from a friend on social media, Facebook precisely it reads "You can succeed to have my attention but not my interest". I was so attracted to it, i quickly commented "that's because you don't understand the relationship between interest and attention ,where did you copy this post".
She just laughed, she is however,yes however a good friend hence she understands my often harassing nature.

That became the basis for this post,i realized they are certain words we use unconsciously and consciously without knowing their actually meanings. I used to be a victim of that but i outgrown that stage ,i am now in the stage of thinking before talking hence words No be problem.

WHAT IS ATTENTION ?

Attention is the mental focus or orderliness we have towards or about something. Its varies among people and depends on how captivating or good such thing is in. They are two types of Attention Short Span and Long Span. Some humans have short span attention that's to say they are easily distracted from what they focus on while those with long span attention can concentrate for a longer duration. Attention is needed for success in whatever man hands find doing, In academics attention is one of the basic personal factor that affect learning. The ability of a student to grab what is thought by a teacher depends on how attentive the student is, the ability of a teacher to achieved the objective of his lesson depends on how well attention he paid to planning the lesson note which is a guide. Attention is needed in life outside Class Room too such as Learning a skill like Tailoring, Driving , Mechanic, Welding , Repairs, Making- up, football etc all need continuous attention even after acquiring the skills.
Attention is therefore the blue print to success, behind every successful man in a particular field there's absolute attention.

WHAT'S INTEREST ?

Interest is the curiosity or desire towards something. it is usually to know or have more of a thing . Interest varies with our faces but its the basis for wants. Interest can be killed and can be enhanced all depending on how what interest one present itself. In Academics Interest is a key personal factor that affect learning because what doesn't interest you,can't contribute in changing your behavior which is the main aim of academic or school. This is a solid reason teachers advise parents and significant others to allow their children to study a course that is of interest to them and strife to attached incentives to lesson just for sustenance of student interest which can be short span or long span during teaching. The duration of how interesting a thing is to someone is depends on how well packaged or presented the thing is and the want of the person. What you don't want won't interest you and what you want may interest you but only if its continually well presented.
Its accepted and known that interest is the number one major reason people venture into different handwork,skill or field of study in schools,Relationship etc because we do so well in what interest us than what doesn't . However you can have the interest to go into something but if its not sustain you will fail woefully in it. Interest is the blueprint to have more.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ATTENTION AND INTEREST
Attention and Interest are often used interchangeable to mean the same thing but as we already know the slight variation that Attention is the mental focus towards something while Interest is the Curiosity towards something. These two terms are related and plays a great role in our endeavour. whatever has your attention has your interest and whatever has your interest has your attention i:e whatever has your focus earn your curiosity to know about it. The notion of whatever has your attention doesn't interest you is not true because your interest will surely be captured for a while then dies off hence whatever has your attention has your interest. If something doesn't interest you it can't have your attention for example a guy stops a girl,the girl won't give him attention if she's not interested in whatever he got to say but her attention can be given and suddenly taken if the guy's gist doesn't interest the girl. Attention by mental focus means the brain is ready to grab such thing coming forth and that can be seen as interest. Attention and Interest are vital for success in life, we are what we pay attention and interest to,If we pay to things other than your objectives, you are a failure but when in line,your path will be brighten with Success and happiness. Most people complain of their partner not giving them attention, Children not reading their books that's simple because they are not interested in you again and their books respectively. Once interest for something is dead, attention is death.

In a nutshell, Attention is the basis for success and Interest is the basis to want or have more success. How lasting both are in a situation depends on the premises surrounding it. An endeavor without attention and Interest won't yield good fruit. Whatever interest you has your attention and whatever has your attention interest you. These two terms are the brace to success,the difference between a poor man and a rich man, a successful man and failure lies on what they pay attention and interest to.
