AYADE COMMENCED THE CONSTRUCTION OF DOUBLE LANE ROADS IN OBUDU

The Executive Governor of Cross River State Prof Ben Ayade has commenced the construction of double lane roads in his home town Obudu Local Government Area of the state.

The project began last month and it's expected to finish in earnest. The current areas been work on are The cyclist park, Ranch Road, hospital Road and Ogoja Road up to Bebuagbong.

The second face is expected to touch other areas in the Obudu. Effort to know if the project is for all the local Governments Areas in the state was fruitless, No one seems to know the mind of the Governor.

The Governor on assumption in office 2015 had promised the state of digitalized projects and begged for continuous cooperation to achieved all these. Of recent the Super High Way which is one his Agenda for the state is facing alot of challenges but all that have been settle in the Federal High Court seated in Abuja in July though work has not fully started in regards to the order as Youths in the Community where the super highway that's to take 10KM to the left & 10KM to the right will pass through have shown resilience and threat to the contractors that have ran for safety.

Obudu indigenes have expressed gratitude to the State Governor for bringing such project to the Area describing it as a dream come through.

One of the indigenes who spoke said "I am happy that the Governor has finally remembered his people, this is a dream come through, this is what the people want to see, the works of their Son. They have been groaning stomach in the area that Ayade hasn't done anything in his home town not even epileptic power supply but with this such stomachs will be silent, success its the best recommended way to silent critics, keep working more Mr Governor."

A business woman who spoke also said "the construction has affected my business stand, i have been using the Cyclist park for a decade now to sale food ,minerals and cloths but am now displaced, so are many others along where this construction is taking place, its a double lane road,you know what that means ,it will take a lot of space, these roads were like a street and narrow as farm roads so expanding it means many road side businesses will be affected. I am no longer complaining, its for the greater good of Obudu. I have relocated my business, though i have lose some customers because it took me a while to get a convenient place. Thanks Ayade my Son, keep doing more."

The Construction of the double lane road has boast livelihood as able youths in the area are employed daily by the construction company to assist in manual work. Such opportunity for the youth has increase some comfortable steps in them and provided a wet ground for the new yam celebration that just finished last weekend.

However Majority of the indigenes complained of how dirty and muddy the town has become following the construction. Motorcycle riders also known as Okada falls daily on the road because of it muddy nature but they have been advise to drive slowly through the areas where work is on going and bare with the dirty face of the town for this period.

Unending New Yam messages were sent to the Governor in appreciation for his concern. The entire Obudu Community have expressed readiness for full continues cooperation with the ongoing Construction and appealed to the Governor not to abandoned the road half way like most politicians do, it is not an easy Project but he should strife to it digitalized conclusion.
