CAMERA AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Photographic film Camera came into use dated back to 1885 by George Eastman and has soon evolved to what we have today. In the days of old Camera was as expensive as marrying from Akwa Ibom State or buying a Car now and was owned by only few well doing men in the society especially those who had affiliation with the white men. Olden days Camera displayed pictures in black and white background which a typical primitive old woman did scream and rejected the photo of her that its not her real colour.

As time goes on the love of pictures especially on occasion like marriage, traditional day, Christmas, Birthday day increased and some members of the society venture into photography as a means of living. It was indeed a lucrative business as it could be just one person in the whole community or just few in the entire Local Government Area hence Photographers were celebrities and very popular with many women who could just offer themselves for a picture.

Camera as of today is in a very portable ,digitalized format and easily access by all as it now comes with Smart Phones though they are still Unique Camera but the most available and used ones now are Phone Camera. The embedding of Camera in Phones is a market strategy that is booming especially in this Era of Social Media Generation. There's high desire and demand for Camera Phones that comes with high mega pic capacity in fact the easiest way of pleasing an average human being of this Century is to buy him and especially her a Camera Phone. Those who can't afford it steal others own to boast about or sale to earn money.

The importance of Camera Phones to people in the society its overwhelming as it now serves as a means of livelihood to people who specialize on sales and repairs. It is also beneficial to those who open charging centres as most Camera Phones have low battery capacity. It is an easy and convenient way of covering birthdays, outings and societal happenings which are incomplete without posting them on social media. 

Social Media consist of Facebook lunched in 4 February 2004, WhatsApp incoperated in 2009, Instagram lunch in October 2010, Twitter lunch in 2006 and among others. These apps are use daily by millions of people over the world who share what's on their minds and pictures contributing to my description of Social Media as a new planet and a home of societal happenings. 

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CAMERA AND SOCIAL MEDIA
There won't be pictures on Social Media without Camera though Social Media can exist without pictures but not in this generation anymore as it will become uninteresting. The work of a Camera now is incomplete without displaying pictures on Social Media. The availability of Camera is a blessing to the social Media and Social Media is a blessing to Camera but of recent it style of usage has been strongly criticized by many. Pictures of accident victims who need urgent assistance are taken and display with sympathetic write up on social media for Likes and Comments intention cover with the name of information. The most annoying aspect is on burial now,Camera Phones won't even allow the priest to burry the deceased, two months ago, a priest was almost pushed to the grave but God saved the abominable act. Of recent i rebuke a friend who posted pictures of his friend on Facebook that went insane due to illicit drugs consumption because it was obviously no sign of love to friendship,my opinion was and still remains he should have taken such person to a psychiatric hospital and maybe later inform us instead of displaying pictures of him on social media. Nude pictures are also uploaded on social media, Students now use the Camera during lectures taking assorted pictures with makeup faces rolling out tongues like a dog chased by bush animal to post on social media. Travelers update their movement on social media.

The relationship between Camera and Social Media is now like a phone and charger , they are twins beneficial to whoever uses it. The Camera provides good pictures for people to post on social media and the social media provides a good platform for the sustenance of such good pictures with an improvement of joy and believe of well being from the Likes and Comments of people. Social Media has influence people to use the Camera more often than in the days of old. Birthdays these days are incomplete without taking Pictures either in the studio or any beautiful background to post on Social Media. Marriages are also not complete till Pictures are uploaded on social media.

They are however negative implications of Camera on Social Media and Social Media on Camera. The camera has provided more odd photos for social media and the social media has abuse the usage of Camera but i am often of the strong opinion that it is Social Media that has been abused by users and not Social Media itself that is bad hence we are the Camera and Social Media and just like many have failed in certain areas in the society so are the failing in the use of Camera & Social Media.

In Summary, Camera is a blessing to the society that deserves not to be abuse. The Camera is said to be abuse if its use to take nude pictures,pictures in unapproved areas like road accidents (you don't have the right) and many other restricted places.
Social Media is for socialized minds and socialized minds share healthy tips or photos, it is a social Kwashiorkor to share nude photos on Social Media. Camera and Social Media should be use healthily with societal ethics, they were main for man and not man for it, don't die for what is main for man rather die for what man is main for and that's being with God.
