WONDERS IN CHURCH

I got an invitation to perform and show case my words enterprise in a catholic church some Sundays ago. It was a demise of hopelessness and a birth of hope to carter for needs. Comedy is indeed a good market.

I got ready and arrived the church with the Rev Father who was marking 40years in priesthood taking his time in officiating the mass slowly but it was obvious age is not too by his side.

After a long while the mass got to Communion time, i sat quietly since i wasn't ready to receive communion ,i just use the period to ask God for pardon of my sins in areas and advance.

The young man that sat beside me quickly left for the communion and got back chewing like a ram. I was focus on reading the scripture of the day ,when i took my head up, i didn't see the young man , after a short while he got back chewing again like a Donkey. I was shocked but felt unconcern. Before i could say NEPA he left again and got back chewing like an imbecile. I stared at him and control myself again.

The man stood up for the fourth time, i pulled him back to his seat and spoke what's your problem ,you no get food for house? He pushed me aside and went for the fourth Communion. He got back chewing like Effiom Obo. I was still very surprise. I saw him brought out sachet water from his bag,drank and took a breath of satisfaction. He turned to me "bros what were you saying ,sorry i was maintaining table manners, am ready to talk Na,". I told him "am really impressed with your level of foolish appetite". He laughed and replied " what's wrong with eating more free food in this period especially when its from God or its God, my brother don't you think its you that's foolish,grow up else you will die of hunger."

The dramatic Communion section was finished and i went performed my role. The father got the mic,thank everyone for being part of the occasion and pleaded for dignity during Communion saying "I know things are hard but don't accumulate more hard things on yourself, My Alter boy just drew my attention to some of you abusing communion, its wrong by the catholic traditions,I prayed for God forgiveness upon you all". The young man shouted thank you father. God will understand.

On my way home from the church,my words fountain called demanding for recharge card,i said you know am not use to sending recharge card ,she pleaded that its urgent. I stopped in the nearest shop bought airtime,loaded it and realized i was suppose to send it to someone.

That's how we missed God blessings so many times because we are too foolishly wise, over demanding , insatiable and desperate. We just want more and end up missing more. "Oh my goodness" ,All these may land us in areas we are not suppose to be. Communion is known and believed by Christians to be the body of Christ, they are guides to taking communion and its once in 6hours according to Catholic traditions exception of the priests. Its seen as disobedience to do otherwise, remember Moses hitting the stone twice due to the pressure from the Israelites and God counted it as disobedience and he never saw the promised Land. No matter the pressure of hunger or Economic distress Communion can not replace food, if you act otherwise remember you have a promised Land too, everyone does have a promise land.

Be guided and put a stop to all the foolish wonders you do in the church and even off the church. They're road blocks , permanent road blocks to the promise land. As we stepped into this new month let your ways be wisely new for God without minding what people will say,the ability to see Godliness is a gift, not every has it.
