NIGERIA AT 57 IS NOT A FAILURE

1st of October In the year 1960 Nigeria got her independence from the British rule cum dominance and later became a republic in 1963. This day remains memorable in the minds of Nigerians as it connote freedom ,happiness and total control of state resources. It is a day to remember the heroic efforts of our fore fathers Nnandi Azikiwi, Alhj Tafewa Balewa , Aguyi Ironsi , Motala Mohammed, Herbert Macaulay and the rest too numerous including those whose little but great actions were not taken note and the entire Nigerians at wide. Thank you for making Nigeria today a place of our own, indeed our well being today is the product of your freedom fight. 

Achieving freedom was not a day job nor was it a show of muscles but brain and patience. This achievement today has been less appreciated and abuse rather than praises. I have seen messages both on social media and verbally from Nigerians expressing no need to celebrate because there's corruption, division, terrorism, high rate of unemployment, non availability of basic amenities, a threat to unity and etc, Nonsense! Nonsense!!, i say a louder Nonsense. You have a birthday,despite how small you have,the problems you have and things have been generally rough, all these becomes a more reason why you celebrate such day as a sign of gratitude to God for the gift of life and friends that fail to celebrate with you becomes temporal enemies. Nigeria independence day celebration is a sign of gratitude and celebration of gratitude is non negotiable. Whoever Nigerian that fail to celebrate it independent is an enemy and a permanent fool that is not aware of his root.

The hard truth is we are still this way because our hearts are not fighters of unity and love, we need to step up above judgment to a zone of love, where there's love Languages doesn't differentiate us, Wealth does not classify us, Religion does not separate us,Politics does not divide us, leaders don't fail followers. Our fore fathers did not achieved independent for Nigeria with such mindset, it was achieved with unity mindset and that didn't end just in 1960 but lives till now and Each time we contribute to staying together we are unity fighters. If otherwise it becomes a threat to our independence. What will you be remembered by people? For sustaining unity or threatening unity? The later is a shame and once you die that's the end,you will be remember for just one minute and forgotten by the world and time.

However we can't take away the fact that At 57th celebration of independence many Nigerians are still dependent mostly because our elected leaders have failed and are selfish. My actual anger is that People I have being hearing about since birth,they existed before my birth. Those are the same people still in power, struggling to be in power. There is no limit to their love for power and acquisition of wealth through crooked ways forgetting those they govern. It is only death that can stop them and they don't look like dying. They gather with selfish interest at Aso Rock every independence day where death can't go closer, no power outage, Employment opportunities are stocked in their pockets,their crooked income a day is equivalent to the salaries of hundred thousand Nigerians,the quest for power drives them to kill one another,heavy charms are their protection yet they open fake lips to God or lord(they can never pronounce Jesus)for oath and so help. We have not felt the happiness of independent Nigeria. Nigeria resources are just too okay for suffering to exist. the whites were selfish and maltreating us,is there any difference now? The evil spirit of a Nigerian is a Nigerian. Let our stingy living ancestors who are benefitting from the independent celebrate with Nigeria. After all they will be allowances for coming out and Indeed your labour won't be in vain. 

However despite all these there is need to honour this day as a patriotic Nigerian and make a vow for the best contribution in any little position we occupy to the growth of Nigerians hence Nigeria. 
Nigeria is not a failure so far,we are moving gradually. Our most problem is comparison, We want things done the same with EUROPIAN COUNTRIES, that are not our mate and that will lead to Inferiority complex. Do understand that What ever is happening in Nigeria is part of Development. Arise o patriotic spirit in Nigerians. We are better together than apart, what are fore fathers saw and fought wisely for Nigeria Independent we can't see even from a high flying private jet. ethnicity is just for cultural basis and not our root,Nigeria is our root. North, South,West or East is for geographers, Nigeria has only one part and it is call Nigeria. the unity must be sustained, we owe ourselves and children unborn this must obligation because it is an opened secret to growth and development,if we must grow,we must be united. don't forget the choices we make today is the product of how we are living and will live tomorrow. Our fore fathers made theirs and we are here today,let's make a better one to go far today come morrow. Arise to the just course towards our unity and May the labour of fore fathers not be in vain.
