ZIMBABWE POLICE ARREST A JOURNALIST FOR ACCUSING GRACE MUGABE OF DISTRIBUTING SECOND HAND PANTS
Police in Zimbabwe have arrested a journalist name Kenneth Nyaganni for publishing a wrong story about Grace Mugabe the wife of Robert Mugabe. According to the story, Grace Mugabe is accused of distributing second hand underwear to the public.
The distribution of underwear was done last month as part of contribution from the first lady foundation. Mr Kenneth had publish a story on a private own news paper describing the First Lady gesture as "a share of second hand pants." He was arrested yesterday(Monday) evening in his house by the Police in Mutare Eastern town of Zimbabwe.
It is still unknown if the arrest was ordered by the first lady or the police are just acting to impress the first Lady who is rumored to be a subsequent replacement for her husband Robert Mugabe.
Mr Kenneth Arrest have triggered wide reactions with some describing it as unjust and infringement to freedom of expression while others were in support of the decision of Mr Kenneth arrest expressing that it contain signs of hate and believe it will curtail the spray of untrue news.
Zimbabwe is currently experiencing Economic challenges like any other developing country in Africa and the sales of Second hand clothes is widely practice in the country.
Grace Mugabe the former secretary of Mr Mugabe was born on the 23rd of July 1965 and in 1993 became the second wife of 93years old President Robert Gabriel Mugabe who have been in power since 1980.
