WISPI: NIGERIA POLICE FORCE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD
The World Internal Security and Police Index International (WISPI) has rated Nigeria Police Force as the worst police organisation in the world in a recent published survey.
The WISPI survey which was assessed considering 127 countries with variables of Process, Capacity, Legitimacy and Outcomes has the Nigeria Police force as the worst in terms of handling internal security.
The report of the survey has Denmark, Finland and Singapore in third, second first position respectively while African countries like Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenyan, Uganda ranked ahead and better than Nigeria.
The Nigeria Police Force Spokesman, Jimoh Mooshod dismissed the report as "misleading and baseless". He added that
WISPI report is degrading and embarrassing to the dignity of the Nigeria Police Force.
Some Nigerians reacted on the WISPI report going viral on Social Media as "wholly true considering Legitimacy and Outcomes" while few others debunked the report as invalid.
A anonymous respondent said "A report that considered just 127 countries doesn't make the world and Nigeria Police Force can't be rated as the worst in the world. What if they're? What's the explicit recommendation of this report to effect a change or are they just active in filling failed reports, they won't be disappointed then.
Let this be a wake up call for the Nigeria Police Force and entire Nigerians. We have a role in our internal security,If the police fails, we are part of it, remember we often influence them to our Favour."
United Nation had months ago rated Nigeria Police Force the best in peace keeping operations. A report that has earned Nigeria Police a position in the Interpol as African representative.
