UNICAL STUDENTS CRY'S OUT FOR LECTURE VENUE

Students of the university of calabar (UNICAL)have expressed heart feelings and appeals to the school management to provide sufficient class rooms to enhanced teaching and learning process.

Making the appeals one of the students who spoke with other students solidly behind and cheering said "learning has been difficult because i barely hear what the lecturer says, despite how early i leave my house to sit in front yet it seems some student sleep here in class,we want the school management to build more lecture venues with our school fees,please Mr Vice Chancellor". Adding to that One miss Roseline said " Environment is very vital to learning,This institution among others in Nigeria need to understand that,money for such projects should be judiciously executed else they should admit the first blame when students fail".

In another expression students of the Management Science and Faculty of Education render appeals to the Vice Chancellor Prof Zana Akpagu who just won the best VC Award in London to continue to  demonstrate it by building more lectures venues so they can equally stand a chance of winning best awards some day.

Thousands of students graduate from the institution yearly and more are Admitted into the institution. Unical is the destination of most learners because of various individual reasons ranging from how safe the state is to just love for the school and the various programs like Sandwich, UME, CES,Pre-degree,Post graduate studies run by the school.

The increased in numbers of students without corresponding increased in lecture venues has forced many student in search of free rooms for learning. while others are in class various departments wait by the entrance and windows to step in at any go ahead opportunity. This has resulted to students exchanging words or blows,standing during lectures,suffocating or perspiring and those unfit to struggle waits patiently to get notes of the lectures or missing the lectures completely . Of recent some students are making used of the institution secondary school building for learning since the secondary students are on holidays while others uses lecturer offices.

However some students expressed gratitude to the school management for the on going construction of lectures venues behind the library and urge them to m strife for more.
