WISKID IS NOT THE FIRST AFRICAN TO PERFORMED AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun born 16th July 1990 and popularly known as Wiskid is not the first African artiste to sale out in the Royal Albert Hall in London as earlier reported on different news channels.

The management of Royal Albert Hall apologized and revealed on it twitter handle that some artiste such as Miriam Makeba from south Africa had sold out too in the prestigious hall.

Others were of the facts that Sade of South Africa had headline in 1993 while Ladysmith Black Mambazo also sold out the royal Albert hall in 1999.

They were earlier reports of congratulating messages for wiskid when it was reported late last month that he is the first to sale out the royal Albert hall. The revealed news has taken care of that but his fans and music lovers have fallen back to Nigeria,where is undoubtedly the first. Some described wiskid as the best in Africa whether with the record of Royal Hall or not.


Royal Albert Hall of Arts & Sciences is located in London and was commission in 1871(146years old now) by Queen Victoria who named it after her husband the late King Albert. The Hall with five thousand capacity and a height of 41M was later renovated in 1999 and has host several concerts.


Wiskid news about the Albert Hall brought knowledge of it existence to most people in Africa and specifically Nigeria. The news also reignited the rivalry between his fans and that of Davido with each taking side of who they love and criticizing the other. some Davido fans described wiskid performance at the Royal Albert Hall as just a "normal show and a no news".


Wiskid came into limelight in 2010 under Empire Mate Entertainment, a record label own by Banky W and later dropped out of school(lead city university) at 200 level where he was studying international studies to pursue his music career. He has soon grown big since then and known as one of the big shot in Nigeria music industry.
