TV PRESENTER JAILED FOR PROMOTING BABY MAMA TREND
An Egyptian court has sentence a TV presenter to three years in jail and a find of £430 for promoting single mother trend also known as baby mama.
The presenter Dooa Salah, a staff of Al- Nahar TV was suspended from her role months ago after she openly encouraged divorce and sex before marriage.
She advised women to get into marriage, just have a baby and hit the verb divorce because "men are not husbands."
The lady criticized Egypt culture against the practice of sperm use to fertilized ovary and men just paid to deposit semens in women as it is done in most countries.
Dooa added women should not die in any marriage in the name of "for better, for worse" vows but should leave for freedom and happiness sake.
She was arrested and charged to court for "public indecency" and found guilty of the act. She has soon began her three years jail term but has the right to appeal the judgment.
Some Egyptians sees her jail term as unfair to the freedom of expression but maintain the restrictions even in freedom. Egypt is known to have the best lenient judicial system in Africa.
Baby mama trend is on the increase in Africa and the world because of various reasons that falls under inability to adapt to marital adjustments. It is peculiar among the rich, celebrities and some women who sees themselves as feminist.
