ARMY ANNOUNCED THE COMMENCEMENT OF FOOTBALL LEAGUE IN SAMBISA FOREST

The Nigeria Army has announced the commencement of football league matches in Sambisa Forest Area as a step of keeping the youths from terrorism.

The football tournament tag Tukur Buratai holds in Gubio local government area of Borno. It began since September and would end ceremoniously by December.

The Army public relations officer in the area Col. Timothy Antigha disclosed to news men the football is intend to build Civil-Military relationship,love among  indigenes of the area and keep the youths from being vulnerable to terrorism.

Colonel Antigha added the tournament has so far attracted attention and participation from entire indigenes who either turned out to play or support a team of interest.

The able youths are divided into groups or teams and matches are played every weekend in the Sambisa area under tight security watch.

Reacting to the news, one Mr Lawrence Ituk said "its not all about the money, football builds unity and happiness. I must commend the army on this, most of the youths have been denied access to enjoy social life because of terrorism. This would go a long way to give them sense of belonging and i hope the next Okocha would emerged from there."

Members of the Gubio community expressed gratitude to the Army and advised Nigerians against involving in terrorism.

The Nigeria army had four months ago announced a technical victory against terrorism in the North. The comfortable football matches on going in dreaded Sambisa Forest area is seen as a sign of victory against Boko Haram insurgence.

Sambisa forest is six times the size of London and there times the size of Israel.
