YOUTH CORPER MISSING IN A RIVER IN AKWA IBOM STATE

A yet to be identify member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been reportedly missing in Akwa Ibom State.

The Youth Corper who is currently serving in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state where the state Governor, Emmanuel Udom hails from was last seen on Thursday the 30th of November after going for a swim in one of the rivers in Awat village.

The male Corper is reported not to have returned since then increasing fears he might have drowned in the river or mysteriously carried by devilish powers in water as believed by many in Nigeria Society.

It was gathered that the River in Awat Village of Onna Local Government Area is a dreaded and restricted area for strangers.

The NYSC Local Government Inspector incharge of  Onna local Government area has directed all activities that relate Corpers to Riverian areas be canceled immediately.

Her directive follows reports of plans by the 2016 Batch B, stream 11 to visit Ibeno beach as part of passing out celebration.

Efforts such as sacrifices and otherwise is alleged to be on in the village to rescue or find the youth corp member.

At least one youth Corper is alleged to die yearly in the Rivers in Akwa Ibom state with Ibeno beach recording most of the scenes.
