UPDATE: BODY OF THE YOUTH CORPER THAT DROWNED IN AKWA IBOM STATE HAS BEEN RECOVERED

Body of the youth corper that drowned in a river in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been recovered dead after three days of search.

The youth corper was last seen on Thursday the 30th of November after he went with two other corpers to swim in the river dreaded and restricted for strangers.

The youth corper has been identified as Collins Oheagbu from South Eastern region. He was a batch B, stream 2 Corp member posted to Onna Local Government area, precisely Awat village where the state Governor, Emmanuel Udom hails from.

It was gathered that the three corpers who visited the river were all swimming happily and took some pictures in the presence of some Okada riders who were washing their bikes and could not warned them of the consequences.

Collins is said to have disappeared mysteriously subjecting the other two to run out for safety with the blood of Jesus Christ on their lips.

The body was recovered death after three days as belief in the area. Family of Collins had soon been contacted by the NYSC Local Inspecting Officer in charge of Onna L G A.

Some members of the public blamed improper orientation of National Youth Service Corps Members for the painful demise of the Young Collins. They pleaded Collins death should be a wake up call for proper orientation.

Blames were also allocated to barbaric and cultural shocking practices for the demise of the young corper.

It was gathered that on the first of December 2016, a Youth Corper from South West is alleged to have been mysteriously drowned in the same river and it repetition this year is consider by Many as an "annual sacrifice".

Corpers serving in the area have been thrown into mourning and fears for the unknown next. They have been caution about unnecessary movements though encouraged to go about their normal life with the trust of divine protection from God.
