Losing what you earned to fellow man in the name of Armed Robbers can be damn annoying and sadden.

Despite the self-preventive measures and tight security for avoidance of robbery, the hoodlums still birth new tactics daily other than walking with guns to carry out their wicked aims.

In Calabar, the Cross River State Capital, they have been alleged reports of robbery done comfortable especially whether day or night.

The unknown robbers have now introduced a pattern of walking about with POS machine which they forced victims at gun point to input their Automatic Teller Machine Card and part away comfortable with much as they can. Many residents of the area have fallen victims especially in taxies.

There are also alleged reports of Robbers casting a spell on their victims using charms and mysterious means. The Robbers are said to engaged their targets in conversation and once there's a response from a target, they are induced by the spell to do whatever they command.

Money has been looted comfortable using such means too as targets are escorted to banks with their ATM cards with orders of not to talk with anyone else they die. Those who are not with their ATM card are driven to their houses to pick it up.

There are also alleged reports of using mysterious means to loot your money and other valuables which at the point of realization would be just white papers, tissue papers or empty carton. These forbidden acts are done in the streets and mostly in taxi once there's a contact with the criminals.

Majority of these alleged operations are done quietly & coded in taxies without even anyone suspecting. Taxies were introduced as a replacement of Motorcycle riders known as "Okada" because of high rates of crimes recorded using motorcycle in Calabar but the recent style of robbery using Taxi has created doubt if commercial means of transportation can really be crime free.

The general public is advise to apply caution before entering taxi, though the perpetuators of these acts as explained by victims mostly appear so responsible but its just a way of comfortable achieving their aim.

It is worthy to note that, these incidences are not just peculiar to Calabar alone but happen across Nigeria. Imbibe a habit of security consciousness, to get to you, there come like you. Reports any case to the closest police station in your area.

The public has also called on the police to be always responsible and maintained integrity to reduce the "no need" mentality already in people about tendering reports because It is alleged that some of these robbers are released from police custody without trial nor investigation.

Those involve in such acts have been warned to desist from it completely.
