WHO PROTECT THE POLICE ?

The police force is an agent of the executive arm of government vested with the right and power to arrest and protect lives and properties. Having a batch as a police officer requires special training over a duration of time.

Police are needed in every unrest,vices or normalcy in the society. If the police who are also humans are  specially main to protect lives and properties who then protect the police? In my inquisitiveness, i hit the question to patriotic Nigerians and the responded as follows;

Effiom:  "that's an interesting question,i have thought of this lately when i heard them in gun battle with police at night. Police protection comes from themselves, that's why there's need to work as a team".

Stephen: "The police are protected by their guns, power lies on those who hold the barrel of the gun".

Paul:  "I will be happy if the question is how many lives and properties have the police protect ? The focus should be on doing their duty,i don't want talk much but i know a word is enough for the wise".

Alorye: "Police protect police, yaa, they protect themselves."

Afufu: "Police are protected by God".

Ukam: "I don't care to know, they have failed several times in this part of the world. They can never be safe as long as they keep failing".

Destiny: "That's a good question, police are protected by the law and it is a serious crime to hurt a police officer".

Atimanu: " Police are protected by twenty and fifty naira, thank you ".

Nkanu: " who cares, even we that they are suppose to protect are not protected. Police is a failed and corrupt institution, they don't need protection ".

Victor: "Police are protected by the law just like every other citizen. They exist because of the wickedness and cruelty of man. If they have erred while fulfilling their duties then know its because they're also humans."

Ogar: "Policemen are protected by the guns they carry, gun is very powerful but when they're not on duty, those on duties protect them".

Itohowo: "Police officers don't deserve protection until they protect lives and properties though they're heavily protected by the law which allows them to carry guns".

Abang: "police are protected by police, they are trained for such."

Mike: "Police are our friends, we protect our friends in this part of the world and we still pay them each time we see them. We are so wonderful ".

Ekuri: "bro don't ask me such question, i don't talk about criminals".

Blessing: " Police are protected strongly by the constitution."

Etim: "i don't know and am not ready to know, police there f**k up big time".

Philo: "This is divergent question to me,our views about it are different but what i think is police is responsible for their protection".

Grace:  "Policemen are protected by the law and they deserves it because they are husband, fathers and brothers of people".

Frank: "let's tell ourselves the truth, the focus should be on how to improve our lifestyle in accordance with the norms of the society. If we do,the police will have less work but if we don't and end up arrested we try to look for away out by bribing and when finally set free we go back to condemn police. All things being equal, police are protected by the law."

The Nigeria Police force is an establishment of due process cum constitution. They are protective measures for officers of the force with standard ethics. Though of recent Nigerians are frowning at the activities of some members of the force tagging them as corrupt and untrustworthy. There's need for the force to always wakeup to what it stand for, Nigerians have appealed and will keep appealing. No one should hate a policeman because we so need them. Love police and cooperate with them to serve you more especially in this present society of terrorism kidnappings, cultism, armed robbery and among other vices. Thank you and don't forget police is "YOUR FRIEND".
