C R S PDP CHAPTER RELEASED TIME TABLE FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) has released her time for 2017 local government election.

The notice which is signed by the state secretary Omaga Victor Odo has outlined activities for Chairmanship and Councillorship aspirants beginning from the 27th of October to the 9th of November.

Councillorship Primaries are schedule for Friday 3rd of November while Chairmanship primaries would hold three days later being 6th of November.

The election re-run is on the 9th of November. The bulletin calls for strict adherence by all concern and all complains should be channel to the appropriate quarters for resolution.

Other political parties have geared up preparations towards the election with it subsequential arrangements.

The local government election have been long awaited since last year but was postponed on three occasions for undisclosed reasons.

Aspirants for chairmanship and Councillorship in the state were thrown into celebration following the news and most have been quick to resume it campaigns and consultation.

Peace loving Cross Riverians have advised the aspirants and general public to exhibit integrity in the election process to keep local government election known for alleged assault and malpractices free and fair. They further pleaded with the state PDP government to allow a "level ground" for other political parties.
