CHURCH IN AKWA IBOM SALE'S 'BLOOD OF JESUS' FOR THOUSANDS OF NAIRA
A church in Akwa Ibom state is currently selling a red wine known as "blood of Jesus" to residents of the area. The wine is sold at different prices depending on the quantity or size but the least price is said to cost three thousand naira (#3000) only.
The church named Favour of God Grace Assembly is reported by residents to have recorded high sales of the blood of Jesus wine. It is believe as prescribed by the pastor that the wine is a cleanser, healer, miracle worker and for protection from all witchcrafts attacks.
Buyers who patronize the blood of Jesus wine were advise to drink it once a day either in the morning or night before going to bed. Despite the preached Economic hardship the wine has recorded high purchase from members and non members of the church and some were buying in large quantity.
Reacting to the sale,a lady who gave her name as just Victoria said "Have anyone bother to ask the content of the bottle and where it came from or they just believe its the blood of Jesus. Christians need to be very careful, Man can now do anything in the name of God to get Riches."
Reactions were equally on social media with many asking where the blood of Jesus was gotten from? One person responded "I think the pastor is just promoting his zobo business, the name is a phase look necessary in business for customers attraction". Others described it as insult or abuse to Christianity, saying the blood of Jesus is never for sale . Some advise a long distance from such church and wine saying even in Israel nothing as such has ever come on sale.
However some members of the church admitted the blood of Jesus wine was working and debunked news of otherwise with encouragement it should be given a try by those discriminating it.
They have been many known and alleged news of items sold by churches ranging from white handkerchiefs, bottle water, fruits, anointing oil, baskets etc which are all describe as holy by the pastors but the selling of the "Blood of Jesus" is heard for the first time.
Strange news about churches is on the increase in Nigeria and Africa at wide because of the love of God which humbles the pockets of many once God is mentioned. Some have been forced to described the acts as signs of end time as warned in the bible.
