COURT ENDS EMEKA IKE'S MARRIAGE

A law court in Lagos has ended the marriage of veteran Nollywood Actor Emeka Ike following a divorce suit filed by his wife Suzanne Ike.

Suzanne accused Emeka of beating her up frequently and needed to stay apart for the sake of peace else she will die some day in his hands.

The divorce suit was approved by the court and Emeka Ike called it "fake and zero consideration of the rule of law" because he was absent at the ruling and the divorce doesn't have his signature as it should.

He further denied Claims of beating his wife and called the wife a cheap liar. "I have never beaten my wife, am a real man, my wife knows that within herself, she wrote it during our marriage counseling and wedding in Redeem Church that am caring man who is selfless and understanding. My anger is tarnishing my image to the press as a wife beater,i want to correct that impression that's not true. Even my children knows that and my son denied it court. I understand the woman i picked from a single room with her mother and trained her to the level of Master's degree does not love me again but she should have left quietly other than calling me a wife beater. Such description angers me because it is not true."

Emeka Ike also accused the wife of watching criminal investigation programs even up to 4:am neglecting her role as a wife. He added that he had often times came to pick her from the sitting room to bed as a gentle man should but he had to ask her one night if she's planning of killing someone with her manner of addiction to criminal programs but she just stood up and left.

Reactions have followed Emeka outburst on social media with some agreeing how difficult and scaring marriage is especially for celebrities. One was of the view that "Your wife was hiding something from you or troubled by something, women tend to be so secretive when it goes wrong but only open up to a confidant. Her manner of staying awake to watch programs may not be the love for the program but something else. I know you understand what i mean and in such circumstances you can't say all to the public. I wish you peace my favorite left handed actor."

On the court ruling without his presence, one miss Itu Victoria said "The court has the right if the other partner is repeatedly absent to take a decision as the court pleases especially on this suit of wife molestation. The information before the court is that Emeka is a wife beater and staying away from the court makes it obvious on his estrange nature. Moreover the court may have a reason to believe Emeka is just tired of the marriage else he should have been available on such crucial matter as noticed is given on time. Anyway whether the divorce was signed by him or not remember it is the court where laws are made,yes made and interpreted. This is my opinion though."

Emeka Ike gave work reasons for his repeated absent from the court on certain occasions. He married Suzanne Emma who is half dutch and a Nigerian in the year 2000 and has 3 children(two boys and a girl) who all staying with him presently as the court ruled. Emeka said he had to pay a matron double to take care of his children who don't want to see their mother and denied speculation that he is into another relationship,saying "marriage is not on my agenda for now and maybe not in this lifetime,the girl people are saying is my date is just a friend from south Africa".
