GIRL'S MARRIAGE ABORTED AFTER ARRESTED WITH CULTISTS
20 Years old girl and a mother of one has been paraded by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ogun state for alleged involvement in cultism. The girl who gave her name as Bose Christopher was arrested at a initiation ground of Aiye Fraternity at late hours of the night last week.
Bose who lost her marriage following the incident said "I met a guy just not up to a week and he invited me out that evening to Oke-Yide, Abeokuta for his friend birthday party. I never knew he was a cultist nor it was an initiation. I only realized when the police came and they all ran but i did not run because i have not done anything wrong. The police arrested me and my fiance who had concluded arrangements for my knocking of door the following day did not even care to check on me. I was later bail by the court with the sum of half a million naira but my fiance called off the wedding plans saying he can't marry a cultist. Devil has scattered my marriage, am really regretting for giving it the chance."
Bose was paraded along side 60 others who were alleged to involved in different crimes like arm robbery, kidnappings, rituals, cultism and other social vices as part of the effort of Ogun State government to eradicate crime in the state.
Bose who shared her story on social media said it was a great step to clear the speculation around that she is a cultist and was involved in initiation others. Reactions she got was diverse with each face but majority believed her innocent claims but few doubted it saying She should have run for her dear life on seeing the strange environment.
One Mike Obiodun gave his contribution as thus, "As far i must respect your boldness to clear the air amid your emotional trauma of loosing a husband that's now scarce than good money i must also blame you for indulging in another relationship when you had a serious man. For the sake of goodness it was just a day to your introduction and you should have humbly stay at home. I hope others would really learn from this but be not trouble as a child of God, maybe he was not your destined husband. Every Disappointment we say is a blessing, may your blessings find you."
Others advised on outings with people we barely know and suspected cultists. They also added that women should be more prayerful when it gets to their wedding period as not all are happy about it.
Cultism is "deep rooted" in Nigeria and many enlightened Nigerians have grown gray worries about it wide practice even in villages that was a "safe haven" and the alleged participations of women in the deadly practice. It is sadly to note that in a year about 10,000 Nigerians are suspected to die from cult clashes and about 15,000 arrested by the law enforcement agencies in Nigeria.
