LEICESTER CITY ANNOUNCED CLAUDE PUEL AS NEW MANAGER

Leicester City Football Club has announced the signing of Claude Puel as a their new manager.

56years old Puel is a replacement for sacked Craig Shakespeare. The deal would last for three years i:e till 2020 provided he performs not below expectations.

Claude hails from France and has managed teams like Leon, Nice , Lille, Monaco and Southampton, all of which he was sacked by the club board with the recent from Southampton four months ago after replacing Ronald Koeman.

Puel is the fourth manager in charge at Leicester City in a two years, Nigel Pearson was replaced by Claudio Ranieri, Ranieri went on to win the first Premier League tittle for the club and was sacked in February. Ranieri was replaced by Craig Shakespeare and Shakespeare now by Claude Puel.

Claude Puel is the least expected by fans and football analysts for the club managerial role but Vice Chairman of Leicester City S. Aiyawatt said Puel is a "perfect match for the club after due consideration."

Puel expressed gratitude to the club for giving him the chance and added "i look forward to work with the club align goals which are similar to mine".

Reacting to the appointment,Alex Alele a football commentator in Calabar said  "Leicester would be solid defensively, a typical Puel side is strong defensively but there's more to that especially in the English premier league, which i believe he knows."

Alex added that "the job of football coaches is like the bible described there is time for everything under the sun, time to be sack and time to be appointed by another club with thesame objectives."

Leicester city are 14th on the premier league table after just two wins from nine games and would play Everton in the weekend.
