SCHOOL SUSPEND SECONDARY SCHOOL LOVERS FOR ENGAGING THEMSELVES WITH RINGS

Love we know its a beautiful feeling as it comes with the desire to marry. This act is practice by adults in the society but children have seems to emulate it despite how emotional and mentally immature they are. Stories have been heard but the recent one is coming from South Africa where a 18 years old male student openly proposed to his 16 years lover with a silver ring in the school they both attain.

The management of the Tholulwazi Secondary school in Gauteng Province confiscated the ring and placed the student on suspension with the backing that it is a distraction to learning.

The suspension got many reactions with some people being in support while others praise the school decision for standing up as a learning and not a romantic environment. A south African who spoke angrily said "It is improper at such age,i support the school decision, the students have a choice to make between their school and love. the school management across the nation should also form a committee to look into such practices because many others may be going on there."

However the suspension was lifted a week later and the students were back to class room after many intervention with the South Africa Student Union President saying "no school has the right to stop the professing of love by students except the parents", but the school management replied him, "we are their second parents"  . The ring is reported to still be in position of the school management and the lovers were still spotted together.

In Nigeria they are known and rumored news of teenage romantic relationships which is on the increase because of poor parenting, influence of significant others and adolescent stage that comes with adventure spirit of to know and feel. The product of this has been teenage pregnancy, poor performance in Academics and increase in number of school drop out.

Education Stakeholders have advise parents and significant others to assist the school by teaching and watching over their children too as a child is a product and a reflection of her home.
