YOUTHS ATTACK DINO MELAYE, YAHAYA BELLO NARROWLY ESCAPED

Youths in Kogi state have attacked  Senator Dino Melaye when he attended an event in the state.

Senator Melaye representing Kogi West was in the state for the annual Kabba day, a dignify festival of culture in Kogi state. 

Dino was happily welcomed and cheered by youths present in the occasion but least did he know the lash was coming. 

Dino had finish making a speech and was about leaving when he was attacked by the angry youths. The security narrowly sneaked him away unhurt but two of his  vehicles in the convoy were partly damaged. 

The youths gave poor leadership styles and non achievable constituency projects as reasons for their action but Dino claims they were sent by the state government to hurt him. 

Dino and the state Governor are not much in good relations because of political differences. Many have beloved the non harmonious relationship is contributing to the present condition of the state.

The Governor of Kogi state Alhaji Yahaya Bello who has come under criticism for his inability to pay salary of state workers for about 16 months was in the area too to attend the occasion but had to remain in his hotel room when he heard the news.

The angry youths are alleged to have advance towards the hotel but Yahaya Bello was whisked away for safety.

Some Nigerians have reacted that it is the consequences of being a "bad leader" and more of such news would be heard if leaders in Nigeria don't arise to be real leaders.

Few youths have been apprehended by the police and despite making similar attempts to hurt the Governor, Dino Melaye maintained his stand they were sent by the state government.
